SUPERB TERRAIN: GMC OWNER EXPLAINS WHY SHE LOVES THE SMALL SUV’S STYLE AND THE PLACES IT TAKES HER

As a busy account executive in Phoenix, Kelsey Favila values her time away from the office, whether it’s working out at the gym or hiking at one of the many area parks.

“We especially love Camelback Mountain and Cathedral Rock,” comments Favila, who relies on her GMC Terrain small SUV to take her there. During hikes, Favila is often accompanied by her boyfriend and her dog, Presley — an 85-lb. Great Dane/Lab mix.

Camelback Mountain, a prominent landmark, is a popular destination for outdoor lovers because of its excellent hiking, sightseeing and rock-climbing opportunities. It’s also one of Favila’s favorite places to hike because of its summit, which towers more than 2,700 feet, offering spectacular views of the city.

“It takes us about three to four hours to go all the way to the top and back,” she says. “But I love being outdoors with no phone and just exploring.”

ARIZONA BOUND

Originally from Sonora, Texas, Favila moved to Phoenix in 2019. Her Terrain compact SUV helped make the nearly 14-hour journey easy, she says, because of its roominess and fuel economy*

Since purchasing her GMC last summer, Favila continues to appreciate its head-turning looks, which garner compliments because of its streamlined appearance and dark accents. She also loves many of the infotainment* features, such as the touchscreen display and Apple® CarPlay*.

“I use the display a lot and often plug my phone in to use Apple Maps to get around,” she notes, adding that a passenger can plug in as well.

Prior to her Terrain, Favila wanted a larger vehicle to carry more stuff and one which Presley could get into more easily. She looked at a number of other SUVs but didn’t care for their style or size. However, after spotting a Terrain on the road, she instantly knew it was for her.

“I really love its sleek looks and peppiness,” she says. “Plus, it’s the perfect size for me — not too big or too small.”

Now, whenever another enjoyable hike on the trails comes to an end, Favila simply opens the Terrain’s rear liftgate for Presley, who eagerly hops in and stretches out, ready for the comfortable ride home.

Apparently, Favila isn’t the only one who loves her Terrain.
