Now that the season has changed, your GMC vehicle is probably going to need some TLC. To give you a head start, we’ve put together a checklist to help keep your vehicle performing with the precision you demand.

● INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPERS
Your windshield is your first line of defense against the elements and harsh conditions, so it’s imperative that you check your wiper blades for signs of cracking or wear due to ice and salt buildup.

● REFILL WASHER FLUID
It might surprise you how much washer fluid you end up expending while dealing with inclement weather. Always have your reservoir checked to be sure you’re not at risk of operating your vehicle at suboptimal levels.

● CHECK BATTERY TERMINALS
When it comes time to do your spring vehicle maintenance, it’s important to check your battery posts and terminals for corrosion, and for you to make sure that they are clean to improve connection. You should also have a load test performed to ensure proper performance during peak demands.

● REPLACE CABIN AIR FILTER
With allergy season starting to pick back up, the inside of your vehicle needs just as much attention as the outside. Help your vehicle prevent unwanted particulates from entering your space by getting your cabin air filters replaced and stay a step ahead of the pollen.

● TIRE ASSESSMENT
In addition to your regularly scheduled rotations, it’s important that you check to make sure your tire pressure is consistent after any drops in pressure that may have occurred due to cool air contraction. Also, be on the lookout for any uneven wear, feathering or cupping that might have impacted your tires, as these are signs that your suspension system may need inspection and alignment.
